Ms. Ruth Revels

Mrs. Revels is the Founder and now retired Executive Director of the Guilford Native American Association. At the present time, she is the part time Director of the Native American Cultural Center in Guilford County.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Revels has been a community activist working in the best interest of the people of her community, especially Native Americans. She served on numerous boards and committees at the State and local levels. Her positions have ranged from

committee member to president/chair of groups that helped to effect positive change for Native Americans across North Carolina.

Mrs. Revels serves as a role model for young Native American women who see in her the possibilities they can achieve. Her commitment to her heritage, and raising awareness and appreciation for the contributions of Native Americans is demonstrated by the success of her efforts.

Mrs. Revels, a native of North Carolina, earned her undergraduate degree from Pembroke State University.
