Ms. Jessica Alarcón

Her audiences have compared Jessica Alarcón to Maya Angelou, Sista Soujah and Queen Latifa as they witness her inspiring dramatic presentations.  She has proven that she can hold center stage and the audience with her unique "Cultural Rap" songs.

A performer since the age of 10, Ms. Alarcón presents her original words of poetry and one-act plays, focusing on social and political themes which bridge language and cultural boundaries. She mixes

Spanish, Arabic and Yourba into her music and poetry which gives her work a unique twist.  This diversity in her work enables her to reach a broader audience, especially among her peers.  Ms. Alarcón's mission is to inspire others to pick up a pen and write.

She has performed her one-woman show in a variety of cities and places: Atlanta, GA; Winston-Salem, NC;  North Carolina Central University;  North Carolina State University;  The Omni Convention Center; Howard University; Raleigh, NC; and New York.

Despite her full and demanding schedule as a performing artist, Ms. Alarcón is committed to education and maintained an A/B average during high school.
