the first chair of Charlotte Summit House, an “alternative to prison”
program for women convicted of non-violent crimes. The program operates
in Greensboro and Raleigh, NC. Mrs. Anoff is past chair of the Board of
Governors of Summit House and is currently on the Advocacy Committee for
the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Council on Aging.
She
was nominated for the Mecklenburg Women’s Commission Community Service
Award and the State of North Carolina Volunteerism Award. Mrs. Anoff is
also treasurer for the National Association of Commissions for Women.
Mrs.
Anoff is a life member of Jewish Women International and served as past
president of the Charlotte Chapter of B’nai B’rith Women. She is a life
director of the Schoenstadt Family Foundation, founded by her father,
Arthur Schoenstadt.
Although born in Illinois, Mrs. Anoff has been a North Carolina
“native” since 1964. She earned a double major undergraduate degree
from Pomona College and has a Masters Degree in Advertising Specialties. |
